Istria is the largest Croatian peninsula on which western coast is situated the city of Rovinj with 14.234 inhabitants. The average yearly temperature in Rovinj is 13,5 °C, with 766,8 mm of rainfall and a warm Mediterranean climate (january 5°C-9°C, august 22°C-25°C). There are 134 sunny days in a year, which makes Rovinj the sunniest spot in the Adriatic.
